EJ and I went to Annie's today and visited our friends.  Then we met Diane for dinner. But before we left I actually got more done than I have in a while.   Writers Read is up to date and Marlboro Remainders is on its way.
And then we drove to Westminster West on a beautiful afternoon and caught up with each other. 

 

I actually went to the rookery twice today.   I went before our excursion and tried to write a little and then I went back up after dinner for moon rise and sun set.  What you get tonight is photos.

March 20, 2026 Happy Happy Birthday, Clara Witty! Happy Spring.  Oh yes, we're ready for it. The difference between the rookery today and yesterday was big.  I was hoping a photo from each day would show the difference, but it doesn't.  There was much more open space today, but it showed mud not running water.  The running water continues in this stream across the whole thing.   So last night I did begin to think about starting a thread about preparing for death.  In our society that's such a negative statement, but in reality its positive.  Learning to talk about this stage of life, the stage I have just entered is healthy and helpful.   What has brought all this up for me is that I went through a series of tests looking for the cause of the pain I am in and the results are frightening.  They are not immediate, but they show the beginning of the deterioration of my body.  We're not supposed to talk about this stuff, but I had ...
