Today started with Grace's song release

You Did It

Here's the link.  Hope it puts a smile on your face.

Yesterday they stopped my heart and restarted it again.  I don't know how not to befriend people when I'm put in that position.  And yesterday they let Diane come down with me everywhere but the actual surgery room which cut my anxiety in half.  Thus, I made friends with everyone around me.  It takes me into a good place to be more interested in their work than my anxiety.  The whole thing went really fast and we were in and out of there in 3 hours.  I died and came back to in a very short time with no bad side effects so far.

I slept most of the rest of the day and night.   I thought I'd lost the keys to my car so David came up and took me to lunch.  I was starving and kind of starving to test out my new alive heart. trying to figure out if I could feel a difference.   I can, but it's hard to describe.

EJ came over after work and we walked into the backyard which my neighbor mowed for me.  It was the first time in 3 months I'd had the gumption to walk back there.  I have not thought I could really do it.  I also went to CVS today and had no odd feelings walking around the store.  It's not that the pain in my leg has gone, but the lack of energy and capability is gone.    I actually did more walking today than I've done in a month for sure. So I believe the procedure was successful.  Now on to finding the source of the pain
After EJ left I went up to the rookery.  It was after 6 and it was about 67.  It was almost perfect out. I saw a Momma wood duck with 9 babies today.  They were skimming across the water.  So cute.  I also saw a hummingbird in the cat tails.  The water was low and the distance between the dried reeds and the edge of the water may have been 10 feet.  That's the lowest its been in a while.
Tomorrow I am going to a day long Writers' Retreat and will focus on writing instead of health.  I'm really happy about it.  Meanwhile, I'm going to sleep.  Definitely, sleeping has become my favorite activity.
