A rainy Wednesday

I actually took a little video of deer crossing in front of me and going down into the creek bed below the road.   It was only about 60 but there were a lot of deer out and turkey.

Rookery was hosting many swallows and I got to watch my kingfisher, but unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I didn't get any real photos at all.

I get so frustrated.  I couldn't tell what the bird is, but it is big and it was dark in the rain.  Certainly isn't a turkey sittin' up there.

I saw several single Canada geese, and the beaver pond looked dammed again.  I don't know how much human interaction is happening here.

There was an article in the paper today that answered more of my turkey questions.  Gary had answered a lot the other day on the FB thread, but the article talked a little bit more about when the Toms are territorial and when they don't care so much.  Apparently, at the moment they care and are very vocal about it.
