I went up to watch the sunset tonight.  Pretty beautiful, messaging with Di, I look up, and there are 3 heron in the trees in front of me like the old days.  Jan had said to me today she felt we were in a mirror image of 2020, this may have been more proof.

For the past several days getting out of bed has been extremely difficult; i hit the snooze button 4 times this morning.  I think our air is being poisoned and those of us who are more sensitive to the toxins are gonna go first.  However, I did make it out and to the Y.  Thank God.

The weather was bizarre today, it went as high as 86, but by 2 it was headed back down.  When I went to the rookery much later my car read 84 in my driveway and 76 at the rookery.  My phone said 79.  There were no ducks or geese in the pond, but I saw hawks and heron which I haven't seen in so long.  There were mosquitos and the green is truly green.
By the time I got to a place to watch the sunset the clouds had taken over.  This was the one patch of color on the road.  My luck with the sunset has not been good this week.  I did see some turkeys in the field.  But all in all it was very calm up there.
I think my most favorite job was working for the Commonwealth's adult education development program and for UMASS in the late 80s and early 90s.  I loved working with other teachers developing new programs.  We were good at it.  One of the best was Judy Hofer. Today is Judy's birthday.  I always smile when I think of the things we did together.  Happy Birthday, Judy.

I am having x-rays on my hip tomorrow, other than that I think I will be able to focus on a couple  of projects.  Here's to handing off the Anthology.
I'm taking the siting of the three heron as a good omen.  I don't know why, I just am.  When I first was observing them I was so immediately amazed at how in community they were, how the supported each other's nests, so to see 3 of them makes me think  their new rookery/community is not far away.

The other thing I noticed tonight was that the woods sounded like it had monkeys in it, I heard a lot of screeching sounds.
