GERARD
It's his birthday, but he won't see this.
I know that when senility hits I'm going to be arrested for lying naked in my backyard on an evening like tonight. It is so perfect at about 84 degrees, and the sunset wasn't very interesting, but the air was delicious.
Another gentle Sunday, I so appreciate them. I didn't get enough stuff done, like dishes and laundry, but I felt peace.
I did organize my medical life so I have everything written down. I realize I can't remember it all so I really have to keep a calendar. The only appointment I have this week is more blood tests on Tuesday for a different doctor. I'll try to get other stuff completed.
Nothing exciting happening in the hills today. The turkey vulture was eating something which I couldn't identify. Possible a muskrat or something was hit be a car. I keep running into these roadkill that have already been mutilated by a bird so I can't see it's head. At first I thought maybe this one was another turkey vulture, but it had no wings. It was that dark, though.
I went over to the cemetery at 7:45, but the sunset was never very interesting. It was peaceful, though, and I have just soaked in quiet today. Now a new week. Now a calmer perspective and maybe a little brighter attitude. Maybe I will submit some poetry this week, or maybe get an application for help with the house. Wish me luck.
