this photo was taken 10 years ago today.  Exact same weather.




Today was dedicated to my medical jouney.  Saw the neurosurgeon today.  I do not need spine surgery.  That is the great news, but it doesn't answer the main question:  What is causing this pain and how do I get rid of it?

Next specialist is hip ortho guy.  We'll see what happens there.  Meanwhile,  I have the heart procedure on June 1st.

I just want to sleep.  

I did see friends today, that made me happy.  Tomorrow I'll go to the Y and try to get concrete tasks done.

But for now, I'm going to sleep.

March 20, 2026 Happy Happy Birthday, Clara Witty! Happy Spring.  Oh yes, we're ready for it. The difference between the rookery today and yesterday was big.  I was hoping a photo from each day would show the difference, but it doesn't.  There was much more open space today, but it showed mud not running water.  The running water continues in this stream across the whole thing.   So last night I did begin to think about starting a thread about preparing for death.  In our society that's such a negative statement, but in reality its positive.  Learning to talk about this stage of life, the stage I have just entered is healthy and helpful.   What has brought all this up for me is that I went through a series of tests looking for the cause of the pain I am in and the results are frightening.  They are not immediate, but they show the beginning of the deterioration of my body.  We're not supposed to talk about this stuff, but I had ...
