This photo was taken a year ago but it could have beeen today.   If I had had any extra energy I would have gone to a water source for pictures.  It was maybe 60 degrees, raining off and on and dreary.  I did my have to's. There was no extra energy.

One of the have to's was Writers Read, which worked nicely tonight.   There were 3 very different writers all with equally authentic voices telling of a world.  I enjoyed it tonight and once again experienced a lovely audience, too.







 







My friend, Bryna, and I sat side by side and read our paper and devices through lunch.  I really appreciated having the silent presense of a friend for a short time.  These are all things I love about my community.  Thank you, friends.

March 20, 2026 Happy Happy Birthday, Clara Witty! Happy Spring.  Oh yes, we're ready for it. The difference between the rookery today and yesterday was big.  I was hoping a photo from each day would show the difference, but it doesn't.  There was much more open space today, but it showed mud not running water.  The running water continues in this stream across the whole thing.   So last night I did begin to think about starting a thread about preparing for death.  In our society that's such a negative statement, but in reality its positive.  Learning to talk about this stage of life, the stage I have just entered is healthy and helpful.   What has brought all this up for me is that I went through a series of tests looking for the cause of the pain I am in and the results are frightening.  They are not immediate, but they show the beginning of the deterioration of my body.  We're not supposed to talk about this stuff, but I had ...
