Woke up to a couple of inches of snow and groaning. My windows are continuing to be replaced so it was cold in the house this morning. I went up to the rookery for a while. Didn't get anything done up there. Had gotten some work on Writers Read accomplished beforehand. I kind of want all of the logistics done in case I have to turn it over to someone else to run.
It's kind of hard to figure out what season it is via these photos. What is truly astonishing about the new windows is how much light gets let into the house. Between the bright white of the newness and the clean glass, it is an entirely new interior.
Tons of birds this morning, tons of birds chattering away in the snow. By the time I left the sun was winning and an eagle had flown over me. Nothing for him to see today. Lots of ducks, but not easily picked off.
I saw several hawks of different sizes. The guy up in the trees on Bardwell Ferry was huge.
As I was driving up Taylor Rd there was a state cop, an electric co. truck and an environmental police car all hanging out where I usually see the turkeys. I couldn't figure out what was going on.
I'm afraid walking has become almost impossible at this point. Tomorrow I see the cardiologist and I'm hoping I;ll learn something new. Going up and down my stairs is not such an easy task these days and I would like a little relief from that. Here's to a new day. I'm getting good at seeing both the difficulty of my life and the blessings of my life at once. It makes me feel a little schizophrenic, but it is also good to hold onto both and be one.
