We held 1st Sunday thinking not a lot of people would make it, but they did.  We had a good turn out and people brought potluck which was delicious.  We listened to each other's writings and ate some good food and enjoyed being with our group;  I was feeling very  loagie, but I was so glad to be there to hear their stuff.   Plus, Paul cooked a ham and sliced it all up and brought mayo and mustard and breads.  That was a treat.

A lot of people read today, but people shared their slots.  If they were only reading one poem they invited someone else to read next to them.  There were still too many readers, but the environment is so supportive of one another that I've grown to accept the length.  I even only read 2 instead of 3 to shorten my time a bit and I haven't read since December.  I liked my pieces, they needed some work, but I liked both of them.

I didn't get out of LAVA until after 5 because Dina, Paul, Viteck and I hung out afterwards.  I drove up to the rookery.  Again, 6 kinds of ducks were playing in the wadder.   I hung out and watched for about 20 minutes and then came home.

I'm exhausted.  I'm going to bed really soon.   As soon as I know EJ made it home from Bard I will get some sleep. Was disappointed that T. didn't come to open mic today, but maybe I'll see him this week.  I'm going to Brattleboro tomorrow

And the really fun thing happening this week, besides the echocardiogram, is Paulie is coming to visit.  YAYAYAY.  He's actually coming on Barb's birthday.

Alright, I'm off to bed.

Pink and grey sunsets are always so interesting to me.  I once bought a set of sheets those colors, but they had so much polyester in them I couldn't stand sleeping in them.  A lessoned learned.
