Today was not a good picture taking day.  The light sucked.  It's going to be worse tomorrow, but I will be indoors a lot, so maybe I can get some good portraits of poets.  Today's light allowed for no real contrasts.  It was fun to watch the ducks in the rookery, but not necessarily to photograph them.  I did anyway.  No heron today and I saw one lone turkey on the side of S. Shelburne Rd and no other  big birds.

These two didn't have a lot to say to each other and were not interested in being my models, either, although Mr. Rooster was awful handsome.

There were five types of ducks in the pond and a couple of kingfisher making noise and flying around.

Black duck, wood duck, Common merganser, mallard, and a little black duck I could not identify.

And there is this guy, who actually maybe a Kingfisher without a band on his chest.

The ducks have definitely formulated a neighborhood.  It's going to be fun to watch them develop.
Gonna go chose some readings for tomorrow.  I haven't read since December so I want to tomorrow.  Not that I've been writing, but I have been thinking about creating collections.  There are a couple of small pieces I think I will print out.

Enjoy whatever holiday you are choosing to celebrate this year.  I only miss the Easter eggs and the green bean casserole.  I would love some of Sarah's green beans, yummy.   But poetry will do and I'll send out a lot of my love to all of those guys.   HUG
