April 3, 2026
I had a good day today.  I met with my GP this morning and developed a strong understanding about what was happening to my body which allows me to feel more secure and not as though I'll be dead in a month.  That allowed me to take my ride and design my new project.  I'm going to just post photos tonight.

My bird count was pretty fun today.  I saw swans, buffleheads, common mergansers, C. Geese, mallards, wood ducks.

I don't know if Nash will read this tonight, but this floating log, which was traveling at a good clip, reminded me of their carvings.

I saw a porcupine and a beaver.

I saw the first heron at the rookery tonight. Red winged black bird, Northern Flicker, Kingfisher and robins.   I was so proud of myself spotting the heron.  And then further down the road there was this big bird which I'm not quite figuring out if its an adolescent or young eagle or a large hawk.

I sat up on the hill looking towards the west over the Berkshires and talked to David while I watched the sunset.  the light was spectacular.  Nice view, nice ending to a centering day.  Welcome back to   the weekend.

The most important thing on my plate at the moment is taking care of the cardiology issues.  I am centering myself there for the next couple of weeks.

Hope all enjoy the photo tour tonight.  I certainly appreciated taking it.
