I was really close to her and I kept on wanting her to smile at me.  She didn't.

The goats are a little rollie poly, but they sure were cute up there on the side of the hill.

It was kind of an odd day.  Wednesdays are usually full both in terms of things to do and things to feel and think about.  I made it to the Y, barely.  I made it to therapy, thank God, and I returned the heart monitor.  I accomplished all of that and ate a healthy lunch before 2:30.  That's good, right?

And then a nap and then an attempt to go up to the rookery and write, meditate, chill, be kind to myself.  I'm not sure I did that.  I did go up and it was cloudy and cold.  There were very few birds at the rookery today.  There were some geese and a couple of wood ducks, but I saw nothing else.  I saw single geese standing in 2 different fields and this doe standing by the edge of the road.  There were two turkey hens, but really, nothing else, not even bluebirds or grackles.   At the end of my ride a red tailed flew down the road a little bit and then went into the woods.   Basically, the woods were slow, quiet and a little cool.

I went over to the canal and only saw this cardinal.  I only saw him because someone was already photographing him.  Talking about beautiful, he was beautiful.  There were no swan, geese, ducks, mergansers, no eagle, no birds perched on a wire.

Went over to Edite's to eat dinner with Denise and her.  The garden is filled with color, the peach tree was brilliant.   Apparently the squirrels are eating all of the flowers before they can be taken in by us humans.

I  am grateful for my bed tonight.
