You'd think I lived in turkey country or some thing.


Last night I was wishing Donnie happy birthday and in the middle of the night he texted me from the Atlantic Ocean aboard ship.  I was so jealous.  He and his partner were on a trip for his 40th, so cool.  There's somebody who has worked hard to be where he is with an enormous heart.  Love you, Donnie.

Jo took me to breakfast this morning.  Getting out of bed has been difficult, so having a built in reason is good.  Tomorrow I have to claim the Y as my built in reason.  I didn't make it on Friday, I think what is happening is the cortisone's mixing with the blood sugar.  Makes me feel as though I'm poisoned for a bit.  I have to push through it, I believe.  


Went up to the rookery for a little bit this afternoon.  It was 41 and raining as opposed to 81 and bright sunshine which it was 3 days ago.  What a bizarre weather week?  I think there must be a rainbow out there at the moment.  



Bird count was good today.   I saw three turkey, they must be mating at the moment.  Do they nest in communities?  

We are so early for this green this year.  Usually it is the fist week in May that brings the bright colored flowering trees.  They are all out and the weather is dipping back down into the 30s.  I hope the peaches are safe.   


I do not have a lot of doctor appointments this week.  I have to return the heart monitor on Wednesday, but I can attend to home and poetry instead of making it to appointments.  I'm going to try and resolve 2 issues so that I can be safer to go back into the medical world next week.

March 20, 2026 Happy Happy Birthday, Clara Witty! Happy Spring.  Oh yes, we're ready for it. The difference between the rookery today and yesterday was big.  I was hoping a photo from each day would show the difference, but it doesn't.  There was much more open space today, but it showed mud not running water.  The running water continues in this stream across the whole thing.   So last night I did begin to think about starting a thread about preparing for death.  In our society that's such a negative statement, but in reality its positive.  Learning to talk about this stage of life, the stage I have just entered is healthy and helpful.   What has brought all this up for me is that I went through a series of tests looking for the cause of the pain I am in and the results are frightening.  They are not immediate, but they show the beginning of the deterioration of my body.  We're not supposed to talk about this stuff, but I had ...

  December 11, 2025 I got to see all three of my siblings this year, what a treat.  Also, I got to see all three spouses, double treat.  I only saw 2 of the next generation and then 4 of the next generation.  I guess we just don't live all that close any more and I have a hard time making it to holidays or doing any traveling at all. It was another day of no photography and no creative writing.  I did get some work done and I did go to LAVA, but my time of loneness was spent organizing the have to's in my life.  I also was in touch with many friends and making sure all were well.  All were well.  So again I offer no insights, I offer no entertainment, nothing really beautiful to look at.  But I am checking in and saying good night.  Here's to happy dreams.   Good night.
