March 2, 2026
It took me 25 minutes to find her tonight, but I succeeded.

You'd think with all I do with photos and computers I could figure out how to add some to a  memorial  site that friends set up, but I can't seem to get it right. I think  I have to set up  a Google doc and post them from that.  Who knows.

It was cold today.  Kind of shocked me.  I went out in my mid temperature jacket and no gloves, and it was cold.  But the pool felt great.  I was so happy to be there  this morning.   I love  it when I feel   that  way.

The rookery was sunny and it was actually 26 by the time I got up there,  but  that's cold, too.  I love how these holes are forming  in the water.  I  still think they collapsed on themselves.  They're lined up where there is water movement.

Still no  big birds.

I went in search of the moon which was due to rise 45 minutes before sunset.  I went to the graveyard at 5.  Stayed on the phone with EJ, but as time passed I realized I needed to search for the moon.   Now as it turns out, I was looking a little too North and she was behind trees.  But once I circled around again I found her, huge and a peach  colored porcelain, you know when things are kind of  milky.

The lens  on the camera is wrong for both shooting the moon and shooting those subtler colors, but it sure was beautiful to watch.

I'm  glad  March is here.  There's lots to look forward to as soon as we get past the Ides it will all look better.

I finally designed my present for Geoff and Marcie.  Tomorrow I will have it printed.

If I see the eclipse, I will post it tomorrow, but I have a feeling the moon will be too close to the horizon for me to take a pic.  We'll see.
