A few more inches during the night and SUN
And another day at home checking things off the list.

I spent most of the day feeling just like Ethan.   So full of a glee.  


Around four Di and EJ picked me up and took me to the market and I got some food for the week.  My driveway is still not plowed, but I think tomorrow I'll get to that and that more things will keep me busy and I will get closer to my goals.  And soon I will be able to go see my rookery.   I'm aiming for Friday, but we'll see.  


I read through more Jay poems today.  They are really powerful.  I think that it might be interesting to do an audio book of them with T. reading.  I'm going to ask Paul R. how to do that.  




I am fascinated by these storms and really interested in finding out how they do impact our technology.  I just keep thinking that one good storm could throw out the entire banking system of this country.  These are the thoughts that made my Grandfather Whiton hide money in the house.   He also had the experience of living through the Crash, but I don't think it is hard to imagine the system as fragile.

  December 11, 2025 I got to see all three of my siblings this year, what a treat.  Also, I got to see all three spouses, double treat.  I only saw 2 of the next generation and then 4 of the next generation.  I guess we just don't live all that close any more and I have a hard time making it to holidays or doing any traveling at all. It was another day of no photography and no creative writing.  I did get some work done and I did go to LAVA, but my time of loneness was spent organizing the have to's in my life.  I also was in touch with many friends and making sure all were well.  All were well.  So again I offer no insights, I offer no entertainment, nothing really beautiful to look at.  But I am checking in and saying good night.  Here's to happy dreams.   Good night.

December 4, 2025 A Hole In The Sky. I didn't get a nap today, I did get some stuff done.  I went out into the world today and I met the specialist doctor of the day. I feel that each merry go round. representing the three medical issues I am having, is organized and moving forward, which is better than 2 weeks ago when I felt trapped in a maze of the medical world's making.  I'm also going to teach myself the details of the digestive system of our bodies so I can have a better understanding of the information that is thrown at me in these appointments.   photo by Gary Gary went down in the basement, a job usually handled by T., and discovered I have more oil in my tank than I thought.  I was worried about running out during this 2 day cold burst.  But I have a month or so before I need to figure out emergency fuel stuff.  Tomorrow I will fill out all the forms though and be all set for when I need it.  I also have to fill out the forms for my Y me...

photo by Claudia 2008 January 16, 2026 I found this photo today.  I love it.  It was taken the day Jason and Claudia left Vermont for California in 2008.  He's my boy, well, not really anymore, he was already 43, but still my pal.  The last few days have been filled with memories, filled with new memories, but lots of people sending out love in response to Jay's passing.  Oh my God, it's true, we laughed a lot cause he was in  our lives.  There was  something about the combination of  Jay and Jason that was pretty damn perfect for me.  They had a lot of things in common and I think  from the beginning I thought they'd both  be around for ever.   For the past 18 years I have had neither of them around physically, but they both are in my heart and mind continuously.  2 of the people I love the most in the world.  01/16/25 I think it will snow tonight.
