Exit 4 on Rt. 91 at almost 4 this afternoon. No rainbow, but there should have been.
If you are in Putney over the weekend go into the Pop Up Vendor shop right next to the General Store. Several vendors are displaying goods there. Annie has earrings, block print baby clothes, assemblages, blank cards. There is vintage clothing and old jewelry, ans other people's wood prints. Absolutely beautiful old fashioned baby and toddler clothes, which I adored. Really, if you are around, drop by, especially if you are looking for that special gift.
Clara and I went up and had lunch in Putney. It was almost 50 and pouring rain. We were in the restaurant for a long time, but then we walked across the street and visited the Vendor Pop Up.
As we were getting gas and then driving onto the highway the sun and clouds were doing a major, gala dance. I thought for sure there would be a rainbow. Do you remember the videos the Neville Brothers did with Fischer Price about the Fischer Price people? EJ and I had a couple of them. Aaron Neville singing to toddlers, such a sweet way to start my nap, well, start their nap. But there were no rainbows, nor did Neville's voice come out of the clouds to soothe me.
We made a fast zip up to the rookery and when we turned onto Taylor Rd a group of 4 or 5 does were a long the road staring at us, not nervous. I only had my phone on me, so I did not get any good shots, but can you see 3 dear?
The snow is all gone from the rookery and you can see the ice, but it's covered with water. The hills have that magenta tint to them tonight. Very pretty colors.
I find it amusing that everytime I come to the conclusion that I need to change my diet to address some health issue I immediately fall into sugar addiction. I am quite woozie at the moment and I need some protein.
Tomorrow is the last day of programming at LAVA for 2025. It should be fun. If you are in the market for some local art, come check us out tomorrow between 11 and 2.
