November 4, 2025
And there my friends is mid-autumn, as winter begins to lick the edges of our lives.

I got a lot done today, but it is too complicated to write in this blog.

At around 4:15 I drove up to Old Albany Rd and shot some photos and ran into about 15 chickens that were lovely.  The moon was already up and the East was pinky orange.  The mountains were the color of a warm wool blanket and it glowed with the sun shining on it.  These colors don't last long, but they do inspire awe.

I'm going to try and finish projects in November instead of doing too much new work.  I'll continue to post photos, and I'd love it if people responded to them, but I won't write any big narratives this month.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow night so I don't think I'll get the supermoon Beaver moon.   We'll try, but it doesn't look good.  Maybe I'll have a day of guest photographers.

Election day is coming to an end.  It's going to be interesting to see how it falls out.  I'm especially interested in the NYC race.  Also here in Greenfield there were a couple of important issues being dealt with.   How much apathy is there, and how much resistance and push back will happen.   I have lost my food stamps and it looks like my fuel assistance may not come through.  It's frightening.

But I want to maintain the beauty awareness and I've been doing a lot of intentional breathing.   I'm also working hard on feeling the good a little bit longer than the bad.

Yup, the world was lovely for a half hour this evening and I'm glad I witnessed the magic.
