On this day in 1957 I learned what it was like to gain a sister.  I remember it well and how much I was in love with this tiny baby, Margie.
On this day in 2023 I leaned what it was like to lose a sister.  Not the same sister, but a sister of my whole life.  Today I spent time envisioning the joy of both of these siblings, the laughter and the dreaming and the discovering a world together.

My photos really do a good job of documenting my ride today.   It was the same old ride, but some surprises a long the way.   The rookery looked low, and I only saw geese, but it was lovely as the snow clouds began to pour in.

The moon sat up there high and uncovered for a bit, you can even see the whole thing.  Halfmoon rising, next week, if it is clear Monday, maybe Patrick and I can go up to Apex with his lens.  That's a lot of ifs, but I'm gonna aim for it.  I think he'll be here Sunday and Monday night.

This male white tail looked so small out in the middle of the field.  He wasn't worried about me at all.  He was alone, I saw no other herd members.

This is where I watched the rainbow form the day Barb died.  I knew her spirit had left our plain on that rainbow.  Today a small stag calmly waited for the snow to come.

And it did, it started to come down hard, all of a sudden I needed my windshield wipers and the wind whipped up.   I went up Old Albany because the vistas are longer and I thought maybe I'd see more, but the snow was too thick.

I did see another buck standing on a little hill, I stopped to focus on him, but as he crossed in front of me and walked away he go fainter and fainter in the thick snow.  I saw two stags tonight and no does.

I think the second guy had more points, he was certainly larger, but I think he was older.  He's in this photo, but I can't find him.  You'd think at least you'd see the bright white of his tail.

Winter is here.  I'm glad I got Dragons Blood the other day, I feel the veil is so thin, having armor is good.  I get tired very easily and the craving for food has started in high gear.

Tomorrow ends Nov. Writes at LAVA and begins my final month of working programming there.  I have a lot in front of me, but I'm also feeling the need to complete some tasks, now, before it is too late.

I want to decorate for Solstice this season.  I did do that variation of a tree on the wall last year, but I may do Wicca stuff only this year.  We'll see.
