Instead of surgery, David and I went to Shelburne Falls for brunch and a little sightseeing. I bought Dragons Blood and White Sage to help protect me from the rest of the winter.
I think I want another of those tall glasses of ice water. What does it say about you when you look at a photo filled with delicious food and what you want is the water? Brunch was tasty, for sure. But the tall ice water was perfection.
A lovely day, a little cold, but not too cold. We visited a fun store, the local bizarre market, and they had all of the incense and Wicca supplies I will ever need. I have a winter's stash of Dragons Blood that will keep me well protected.
All the writing I did do yesterday I think must have been cleansing, thus, I am craving water and Dragons Blood. I may not have gotten my eyes fixed, but I may have given attention to an old bruise that needed resolution. I felt myself slowly return to my body today while slowly perusing hearts with a safe friend.
And the potholes themselves radiate a magic which I seem to have resonated with this afternoon. The power of water is so clearly illustrated at this point on the river.
Bardswell Ferry Bridge is still closed. I can't believe I had David go home the back way and forgot the bridge was closed. We had to go back up into Shelburne, then to Conway and across Stillwater to Munson and home. Long drive in the pretty world of W. Ma. But we did not get to see the Rookery.
I wish I had a picture of us sitting in a circle on the ground next to my house, a circle of women who were all connected either by blood or by heart to Mom. We had a big bag of her necklaces and we passed it around allowing everyone to take their pick of a necklace, maybe three times around the circle. Were all her Granddaughters there? All her great Granddaughters who were born so far? I can't remember, I just know there was a coven and I got the amber necklace, which I still get strength from. (More cleansing, more protection.)
