Started my morning off with two of my favorite people. I have pretty cool friends. These two warm my heart.
Large cartons of pumpkins and gourds sat in the Coop parking lot. Went to take a photo and realized I never put my memory card into my camera so I faced a day with my phone once again. The light was so perfect, alas, what can I do.
After a nap and before work I went to the rookery. The flock of geese were still there. No heron to be found and the song birds have gone South. There was a kingfisher, but the phone definitely didn't pick him up. It was sunny and chilly and pleasant, very nice spot to sit and stare. Spent about a half hour being quiet.
Wish I could tell you what I contemplated, but I can't. I thought maybe the moon would come up before I left, but I was earlier than I thought. The places where the water is settling and the creek is reforming is becoming more and more distinct. You can tell by the colors that we need rain, but unless you were aware that all that green was under 2 feet of water in June you wouldn't know how low the pond is.
Ash was in New York today, Charlie zoomed her in on the music stand. She sat at the head of the table from a coffee shop in Manhattan. Welcome to the 21st century. I of course thought it was a perfect photo opportunity. What can I tell ya? Some things will always be the same with me.
