September 1, 2025
The end of a long weekend, a quiet little dinner, some planning for September, and the new season begins.  It all goes too fast for sure.

She's already missing her human.  I went and hung out with Diane and the gang today.  Got some small cuddles in with Roxy.

Overcast today and a little dreary, but I'm glad I motivated a little to go visit.

Horses were out in the pasture tonight for the first time since June.  It was so nice to see them.  Someday I'm going to ask the farmer what the routine is cause I bet I could be visiting them in another field somewhere.
Fast ride to the rookery and around the loop.  Then home to put together a dinner of left overs and a house filled with silence sitting with the smell of lavender and sage.  I am setting the stage for a new beginning, once again.  It's akin to hitting the reset button.

Good night, Labor Day.  Welcome, September.  I am so glad I am not starting school this year in any shape or form.  Instead I am embracing my 70's and the possibility of being a grouchy old lady in her own paradise.

6:17 and 68 with cloudy skies

Kingfisher present

Alongside raw nerve ends

And edges of an anxious background

Multiple legs crawling up the flesh on my back

Eyes scanning boundaries

Where are the usuals?

The songbirds' migrations have

Tripped into action early

Wood ducks make no Sounds of comfort

while I scream inside

Mild mannered

Raging to get out of I don't know where

the why has been creeping in consistently for years.

I am done
