The Making of Fragments

My bestest pal, my greatest wacky, is going back to Bard for the final semester on Saturday.  They went "back to school" clothes shopping with their Mom today and brought them into LAVA to show me.  This jacket was great.  Very soft and kind of grim reaper looking.  You can't see the t, but it says BRO in Greek...

EJ, you make my heart sing and I am so very  proud of you.

David and Val came over around 4 to install David's visual art response to the show.   It was pretty fun watching them, kind of helping them, install it.  The only rule we really had was that you had to be able to hang it on the wall.  David pushed the limit a little bit, and I'm not sure it will stay for very long, but it is hanging by a hook on the wall.   Ahhh the boundary pushers of my life.

The pieces of bark have lines from all of the other writings printed on them.  The bucket holds treasures from the river; bark, fresh water mussel shells and flowers.

Tomorrow is our final event and then the show comes down.   I'm going to try and document the event, too, in order to create a catalogue of the show and the making of it.  Should be sweet.

Didn't get to the rookery until almost 6.  We need rain.  It was very quiet up there, probably just where I needed to be.
