Rookery is building back up.   Wonderful to see wood ducks hanging out on the side of the mudflats proving that there must be some water filling in spots. It was 75 at 5:10, I hung out until 6:30.  It was 67 at the beaver pond and a pileated wood pecker was dominating the airways.

My first attempt at action with the Nikon, nothing was correct about my settings and I was sitting in a vibrating car, but I couldn't resist, had to take it.  She is an adolescent heron alone in the beaver pond just waiting for me.

Didn't actually see the sunset, there was still another half hour to go, but the clouds were fascinating.

Realized my ISO was too high for this whole trip and it is interesting how different either side of the road is.  I maybe learning though and getting the hang of it.  Almost ready to do a trip out with Gary.

The house is now officially over run with mice.  They are not paying any attention to me, they could care less.  Time to get Patrick to put out the traps.  They are coming too close.   So freaky for me.  I've been having a hard time with cortisol production anyway, I dont need mice running around me.  Must be the fact that it is so much cooler out.  Clara hung those noise makers a week ago, but they don't seem to be effecting them tonight.  AHHHHHH.  If I'm not here in the morning you will know I was taken by a herd of mice.
