Another Great Writers Read.  3 very different readers that worked together and a good active audience conversation.

I needed the pool this morning and I need it again tonight.  I remember those evenings aboard ship when we could jump in our bathing suits after dinner and jump in the pool in the moonlight.  Afterwards we'd wrap up in a big towel and run to our stateroom.  I want to do that tonight, but there's no pool under that full moon.  Actually, that full moon is covered by storm clouds,  bulbous giant, high clouds.  I think it will rain soon and the only cooling off I'm getting at the moment is this fan.
Writers Read really was good tonight.  Regine Jackson, Karina Lutz and Tommy Twilight were the readers.  But we were competing with Michael Frante so the audience was not all that big, but it was good.  There was only one new person in the house.  Everyone else was returning.

Had lunch with Thane today.  He's one of those friends who just fits.  We promised to be more consistent about getting together.
Did I share the photo I took of the wood thrush in EJ's yard the other day?   Apparently he's hanging around with Gilgamesh the rooster.   I wonder when wood thrush lay eggs, do they have 2 broods in a summer?  Cause maybe there's a nest nearby.
