Nice day to be home.  Exhausted, but rejuvenated, too.  David and I went to lunch and bumped into a billion people we knew.  It was just an early Sunday in town.  Nice to see him

Before I went home to nap I went quickly to the canal to look for big birds.  Immediately two eagles flew over me. Seemed appropriate, I'm back in Franklin County.

The lily pads are in bloom.  There are two different kinds of flowers.  I'm not sure I ever took that in before.  Made me want to go visit the Pagoda.  I may try to do that next week, maybe with Patrick.

The bird count was big in quantity, low in types.  There was a duck though that was there in a large flock that I did not recognize.  It was kind of a leather brown all over.   Of course the swans were there, several Canada geese and mallards.
Tomorrow I'm going to Holyoke to do a workshop on photography and writing at the CARE Center.  I'm looking forward to it.  It's a little abrupt to get home from one world and dive into an old one.  CARE Center was a large part of my Adult Education life.  I'm very fond of the place and it's wonderful they are still doing great work.

I may get a chance to go to the camera store, too.  Not sure if I have time or stamina.
When you've had as long a history in an area as I have you realize you have these chapters of experiences, chapters of people, that float in and out of each other continually.  I maybe rare, but today I spoke to 15 people who came into my life at different points from my brother, Paul to a woman I met at LAVA whom I'd like to become better friends with.  72 years of life, once again, showing me the coolness of it.
