First sunset I've tried to capture in a while.  It wasn't very interesting, but nice to be out looking at it.

Spent some time sitting with the new show.  I really like it.  I really like the idea that these people have been in my life for 50 years, Annie even longer.  And when you remember that Robban is only 52, well, it's kind of amazing.  (He was 22 mths. when I went to Marlboro..  My own daughter is one month younger.)

The rookery was quite lovely this afternoon.  It was 71 when I got there and it was not very interesting, either.  The natural world was kind of gentle for a change. It was kind of boring, but gentle.  I think we all needed a day of no high winds or strong rain.   I just sat in it, taking it in, trying to make my brain prioritize something.  Never did.

I think the variable that was most prominent today was the pollen count.  My eyes have been weeping and puffy continually.

Now if I start to truly visualize a space to go and write and be healthy in for a few months do you think I can make it be?  Use of a bicycle, healthy food, swimming, and a place I can write.  Once I envisioned this cottage enveloped in blue and purple irises.  It has to have a dishwasher, too, and a giant bathtub and thick bath towels.    See, I can prioritize when I want to.

I made myself some dinner and then I went to find a good place to shoot the sunset.  I did not find it.  In the flat cemetery there were two men about the same age walking around.  One of them was pushing a baby carriage, I think trying to get her to go  to sleep, maybe a grandfather babysitting.    The other was walking with a large can of beer.  One was walking rather quickly and the other was plodding along.  I don't think they ran into each other.  I was just acutely aware of how different lives can be.  The baby carriage was draped in crocheted blankets of bright strong colors.

I didn't make it to the Y this morning, thought maybe I should give my leg another day of rest. My back was mad at me.

I'll try for the sunset again tomorrow.
