Quiche, salad and strawberries, a very pleasant dinner tonight.  I'm still hobbling, but feeling in a little less pain.  I ordered new camera batteries yesterday, with any luck they'll be here tomorrow and I can go back to taking photos.   Then, of course, I have eye surgery on Monday so I may have to take a break from my blog, too.  But we'll see,

The milkweed burst out today.  It's really phenomenal.  I hope the butterflies arrive.   There are also millions of raspberries, just tons.  Will I beat the birds?  Always the question.

Long talk with brother, Geoff, today.  Haven't spoken to him since the day Mike died.  He's in good shape.  He wanted me to take pictures of the heron sculptures so he could share them with his new wife, Marcie.   I told him that the weeds had won the war here, but here are some photos of the nonexistent garden and the sculptures hidden behind lush green, lots of berries, hostas and milkweed.   My birds better appreciate me.
