1st Sunday. I felt good about my reading, not great about my colors.
All 3 of these photos were taken by a fellow poet, Deborah Tosun Kilday who came up from Connecticut to read. The crowd was quite good today, filled with some old friends, but missing a few important regulars. So Skyler and Amie weren't there, sadface, but T. did come, happyface.
Massachusetts appointed its first ever Poet Laurette this weekend at the state poetry conference. I am waiting to hear from our community writers who were there about the conference. I will try to get him to come and read in Greenfield.
Long day, but kind of special. I'm not sure why except that I really do appreciate my writing community.
Went up to the rookery around 5, but Amie needed a ride home so I didn't stay long. It was not a good photo day.
I'm thinking I may get photos of the Aurora around 9:30 they say. Right at the moment the sky is pink in the west, but it is not an interesting sunset from here. The solar glare has definitely interfered with normal activity. I also think I'm feeling pressure.
I'd love it if any of my readers get photos tonight of the lights that they post them in the comment section of the blog.
Yes, it was a long day, but a nice day. So glad so many readers came, so glad T. is my friend, so glad Amie knows what's going on with her health and is going to be ok. And just maybe, just maybe I'll get to photograph the Northern Lights.

Thanks Lindy! 💖🫂💖
