It was 49 at the rookery today.  In spite of the stupid temperatures there was a heron, an otter and a very playful female common merganser.

It really is late spring and not fall, honestly, in spite of the Northeastern that took a hold of New England yesterday and is taking its time leaving.  Cold and wet out there.  I've tried not to turn on the heat, but I had to do it today.  I'm cold.

But still the wildflowers are all over the place.  It's kind of incredible.  I'm really impressed.  The water is also once again high at the rookery.  And the colors, not at all like Fall, are so rich.

I'm very excited about some possible things happening in the next few weeks.  My life is very busy both personally and at work.    Tomorrow I'm meeting with a friend of a friend to talk about my play and to see if he may be interested in producing it in Vermont.  It would be so exciting to have someone new take it on.  I would love to see it out in the world.

I have curated a show for June at  LAVA of Marlboro College Alum friends who live near.  10 of us will show their work and we are having a party on the 7th of June.  I'm so excited about seeing a whole lot of old friends, and good friends.  In the local paper today there were 5 releases out of LAVA, 2 of them being lead by me, another in which I am co-leading.  I was like, I thought you weren't doing this anymore.  I'm not, really.

In July Words on Art on Words is going up for 2 months.   It is a participatory art and writing project.

I am not in charge of it, but I am excited about it and glad to have helped put it together.

I have eye surgery in June, too.  And I start swimming lessons in July.  So there's a lot. It's fun.  But I have to figure out how to be better organized around it all. I have a lot of stuff to get ready for.  It's going to be a good summer.

You can't really see the otter, but he's there.  They move so specifically.  Again they are playful.  They are wonderful magic, I was so happy to see him

I almost didn't make it to the pool this morning.  I'm so glad I did.  Again, it's playful, people are happy to be there, happy to see each other and we are moving.
