It's late.   I managed to get a lot done today, but in my normal circuitous way.  Heaven forbid I do anything in a straight line.

It was so beautiful at the rookery this afternoon and not a cloud in the sky.  The thermometer went from 77 to 84 while I sat there and wrote.  Greens were really green and blues were truly blue. I got out of the car because the water was filled almost to the road and I wanted to see what was right there.  There were turtles and lots of red winged black birds telling me to get a way from their nests.

The colors were fascinating, but I couldn't seem to capture them at all.  They were between red and purple and my choices of settings did not seem to be right.  I clearly am missing another piece of information.
And the moon rise tonight was spectacular.  I don't do it justice at all. But the cloud cover was very thin and the moon color was red and it rose with such surety.

I waited a half an hour in the wrong place and just as I got creeped out enough in the dark, in a cemetery alone, I moved and there it was coming through.

Then Terry arrived and kept me company while I tried to shoot it.
It's an extraordinary moon tonight.
