It bloomed today in the 80 degree weather.

Another full and complete day.  I didn't get to the dump, but besides that, a lot got done.

At LAVA we are making a video to publicize a new art project we are undertaking.  Charlie directed, Ash wrote the script and she and I acted in it.  We had fun, it's a 2 minute promotional video. And I think the project is going to be good.  It is a participatory visual art and words gallery show that will grow from July 1st until August 31.

After work, Annie and the grandkids met me for a late lunch.  It was really fun.  These kids are cool and I don't get to see them often enough.  They brought me birthday presents and we ate Chinese and laughed a lot.  Islay is a very good and very frequent story teller.  They also made me promise I would make a play date soon and come to Vt.

Rode up to the rookery in the Lexus.  It is such a smoother ride.

The temperature was 81 and it was humid and there were plenty of ducks in the water.  Bird count was a little different today than it has been in the past few days.  I did see something big, but I think it was a vulture.  There were tree swallows, red winged black birds, common merganser, wood ducks and I think a ringneck, but I couldn't make it out well enough.

I drove  up and around the loop and saw no four legged animals, nor any livestock. There was a mallard pair in the horse's little pond.

Later I went to photograph the orchard.  The peach trees are about to bloom.  We are clearly on the precipice of flowering tree bloom.  A week ago it was snowing and today hot and humid.  Tonight big wind rains will enter the area.  Welcome to Climate Change.
