Happy Birthday, Eli.
Heron at the rookery today.
The first thing that happened to me this morning was Karen posted a poem that Eliza wrote and photos.  My 3 year old great niece is a poet.  I started the morning smiling.  I needed it, this week has been so sad.  And it had snowed.   Eliza's poem was just right.  She didn't want me to post it though.  Maybe I will see her soon and we can write together.

I was very slow and intentional this morning.  If I had a hot tub I would have sat in it all morning.  I dream of what it would be like to have my own.  I made due with Dragons Blood and tulips.  Not quite the same, but good, especially when you add photos of the 3 year old and her poem.  Self care morning!!!

And a trip to the rookery where it was 39 at 2 in the afternoon and drizzly, chilly and filled with ducks: Common merganser, black ducks, canvas back, C. goose, and that wonderous GBH.  I don't know where the nest is, but there is fishing happening here.   We are getting more snow tonight, but then I think the temperatures will come back up.

Clara and I ate El Salvadorian tonight and laughed.  Very healthy laughter, which was so needed.  Patrick joined us for a bit.  Good to see him.  But mainly I made terrible fun of my heart.  I'm really crazy.   We looked at some old photos, too.  Oh time for me to move forward on projects and to leave the memories behind for a while.
