Drove to Sunderland and back today in the fog. It was quite beautiful.
I had brunch with David. Really nice to be some place different for a peaceful couple of hours. Ate salmon eggs benedict. Tasty.
Came home and cooked. Skyler came over and we blabbed and the corned beef cooked in brine. It filled the house with that smell. Then I added red cabbage and cooked it more and then EJ brought sliced potatoes with them and threw them in the pot. Everything turned purple. Gorgeous. Eli joined us and we had a family Sunday dinner. Apple sauce for desert.
Another week begins tomorrow. A full week, and I have an entire refrigerator full of leftovers, delicious meals. What happens if one purees the leftover cabbage and potatoes in the liquid? Would it make a good soup?
