A Day With My Bestest; just what I needed.4

My new glasses, brought to me by a group of loving friends.  YAYYAYAY.   I drove to Springfield with EJ today wearing proper glasses for the first time in 10 years.  It was delightful.  It also helped that I was in their car which is smooth, shall we say.   Nice drive.  EJ DJ'd.   All around a successful trip.

The sunset was fast and stunning.  I left the house at 9 and didn't bring my camera.  So it was a day of phone pictures and they can't be done while one is driving.  No sunset pictures really, just one of the very end in their driveway.

Home to the animals, one of the best things about visiting the Worth household is the animals, I get my dose of animal love.   EJ and Roxy are very silly together and it was clear tonight that Roxy missed her human.

My nickname, or one of my nicknames for EJ, is whacky.  This is a shot of me laughing at the guy.   I needed this dose of whackiness.   The grief train scrambles me and makes me too tight, not flexible enough.  An afternoon of silly loosens me up a little.   I even felt my balance improved a little tonight, at least better than its been since Thursday.

Tomorrow I will write more about grief.  I think it is important to talk about and it is too easy to gloss over.  Loosing a sibling is hard, he was someone who has always been there in some form or another.  He had a lot to do with the beginning of my life and the choices I have made.   I will try to write my 3 favorite Mike stories. I tell you, it's been great to read other peoples' memories.  He certainly was colorful.

I also want to begin my oral history project on music as community development work.  I will begin that project next week.   Right now I am developing a timeline of the last 5 years of LAVA Center.  LAVA is where I have focused a lot of my attention in the past 5 years.  If you are interested check out  www.localaccess.org    LAVA       Good night.
