March 5, 2026 Yesterday was my close friend, Herb's, birthday. I walked around all day thinking, whose birthday is it? Then today at lunch an old colleague came into the Wagon Wheel and one of the first things she said to me was have you seen Herb?. Bingo, birthday, my brain lit up. AHHHHH. Definitely a good day, mainly cause I got to spend time with Dina and I got some time with E.J. What more could I want? The light was not good for taking photos, but it was fun anyway. Before I met Dina I ran some errands and I took loops through fun photo places. The threat of rain was a constant, but it didn't stop me from trying. I went to the Cove and when I left Gill I drove up Main Rd which is always got something to catch my eye. Today my favorite Sycamore was hidden in shadows looking wonderful Dina and I discussed Caring Circles today and how it is smart to create them too early rather than...

March 4, 2026 Yesterday's storm produced a few more inches of snow, by morning there were fewer inches of snow and 2 inches of ice on everything. But the sun was really strong and much of it was gone by the time the sun went down and things could freeze up once again. In the past 24 hours we experienced all winter can offer. I hope we are coming to the end as we slip into the week before the Ides. Blocked in this morning until about 10. I actually cleaned off my own car and went out by 11:30. But first I had an on line Doctor's appointment in which we decided to do an MRI on my spine and lumbar. Made me feel so relieved. No one wants me taking even non addictive pain killers, but no one was doing anything about diagnosing the pain, either, and now I think we'll get somewhere. I still feel stopped at every corner and can't believe how difficult it is to get anywhere these days without being entangled with the computer. My ...

March 3, 2026 I think we're getting more snow today than we did during the blizzard. This one was not predicted well. I had the hardest time getting up this morning. I had bizarre dreams all night that were sagas, forever, on and on. Lots of sex, lots of confusion with my sister Barb. I also have spaces that dreams happen in, like a reoccurring dream, but its not the same dream, its taking place in the same spot. This one is a basement that we've turned into another apartment away from everyone. To get into you have to go through the basement of our house on Signal Hill, which was kind of creepy. Last night it had a back entrance too that went out into a yard which I couldn't place. EJ called me just before he and his Mom left to go find the eclipse. I couldn't put myself back into my real body again and it rook me a half hour to realign and then I went back to sleep. Very strange feeling. EJ didn't get to see the ...

March 2, 2026 It took me 25 minutes to find her tonight, but I succeeded. You'd think with all I do with photos and computers I could figure out how to add some to a memorial site that friends set up, but I can't seem to get it right. I think I have to set up a Google doc and post them from that. Who knows. It was cold today. Kind of shocked me. I went out in my mid temperature jacket and no gloves, and it was cold. But the pool felt great. I was so happy to be there this morning. I love it when I feel that way. The rookery was sunny and it was actually 26 by the time I got up there, but that's cold, too. I love how these holes are forming in the water. I still think they collapsed on themselves. They're lined up where there is water movement. Still no big birds. I went in search of the moon which was due to rise 4...

March 1, 2026 I had an interesting day. primarily because it was 1st Sunday, but I also had a good ride this afternoon. The last two days have seen a big thaw. My front steps were covered over with snow but as of this afternoon it has melted with about 6 inches left to the ground. The little birds are in big numbers in the bushes, There is a lot more activity, but I'm still not seeing the hawk activity. I must not be on the circuit this year. I didn't even see any eagles at the canal.. Nina was a featured reader at 1st Sunday today. She read an interesting assortment of different pieces, both prose and poetry. Good to hear her. I did not read today, I don't think I wrote anything in the past couple months that is in a readable state. Most everything I've written is still journal entry and not fit for human consumption. Maybe by April I can have some new stuff. After the event I went on up to the rookery. It wa...
