October 5, 2025 1st Sunday had a head count of 40 today. Sunday afternoon poetry reading is so civilized. This group comes together from all over the place and they share voices. It's an extraordinary event in the long run. We are an old group who have established ourselves as a safe space and new people feel it all the time, feeling welcomed and returning. Several people took good pictures today and a few of me that I like. But they take them on their iphones on hi resolution so my phone can't upload them. I need to learn how to do it on my computer again. But I got a few shots from the back of the room. If you are looking for some fun art come to LAVA in the next couple months. The silent auction is going well and a new group of artwork was hung this weekend. New stuff is cycled through often. We're also beginning to get submissions for the Community Art Show. People have anot...

October 4, 2025 Tonight you have 2 poems and pictures of the day. Crumpled lives collapsed into each other. Shared lives fell apart shattered, but so well glued that after years they are still touching still prompted can still understand. Blood soaks bleeds through against each others’ hearts. The strength of untainted love sibling devotion familiar frameworks buckled, but infiltrates forever. M ore notes to you 3 When we lived together we'd take time to watch the moon rise, but now we rush to get everything said in an allotted time. No time to breathe together I so like breathing with you I so like your gentle warmth Sun is setting on my left While the moon rises on my right And an even pink gloe builds from the horizon I so wish it was your breath I heard I wish the glow rose around us You don't reach for my hand The way others do You don't hold it ligh...

October 3, 2025 Another gorgeous autumn day, one which I tried to stay in the moment all day. Spent an hour at the rookery, part of the time on the phone with EJ still watching the kingfisher play in front of this line of turtles. A little stab at perfection. I'm not sure what to write about tonight. I've been trying to collect material to read next weekend. I've been reading stuff i haven't looked at in a while and am amazed at how much I did write last spring and then how much I promptly dropped it. I'm really wrestling with the idea that I have three major tasks in front of me that I just have to complete before I take on anything else. It really is the truth no matter how many times I go around the circle. I worked tonight at LAVA. Very pleasant event, a group of queer writers who are trying to get an open mic going. They had 20 people tonight. It'll work, it was nice to be of support....

October 2, 2025 Started my morning off with two of my favorite people. I have pretty cool friends. These two warm my heart. Large cartons of pumpkins and gourds sat in the Coop parking lot. Went to take a photo and realized I never put my memory card into my camera so I faced a day with my phone once again. The light was so perfect, alas, what can I do. After a nap and before work I went to the rookery. The flock of geese were still there. No heron to be found and the song birds have gone South. There was a kingfisher, but the phone definitely didn't pick him up. It was sunny and chilly and pleasant, very nice spot to sit and stare. Spent about a half hour being quiet. Wish I could tell you what I contemplated, but I can't. I thought maybe the moon would come up before I left, but I was earlier than I thought. The places where the water is settling and the creek is reforming is becoming more and more dis...

October 1, 2025 Welcome October, fall is here, the temperatures are perfect. We need rain, but it really is my favorite season. This guy, here, is awfully handsome, a little noisy, but I think I love him. I love Wednesdays. I can't believe another one has come and gone and that this week went so damn fast. Time really is my biggest confusion. Geoff and Marcie are home in Colorado, Denise has her house to herself for a bit, I go back to work in tomorrow afternoon. And we go around again, what are we going around in a week? lol Moon rose this afternoon, wish I had a bigger lens tonight. It is gorgeous. We are 5 days away from the full and there are different fun things happening in the skies over the next few days. The government has shut down and a double hurricane is giving special wind to migratory birds and allowing them to soar faster than normal on their flight south. There is some connection to be d...

September 30, 2025 Another day in the life of an unfiltered empath. Marcie and Geoff came by to say good-bye on their way to the airport. Sad to say good-bye, but it really was a wonderful visit for all. I'm so glad my little brother is happy. Another beautiful day, 77 and calm, just lovely. I woke up this morning suddenly, sat up in bed and realized none of my emotional filters had been working in the past few weeks and I was taking in everybody's input. I've had constant stimulation and been riding an incredible roller coaster. Holy Cow, dum it down, Lindy. Too much happening in this world to have all the channels open. Tomorrow I will go back to my routine life for a bit and try to level off a little. I also realized I have not been writing consistently at all this month, so tomorrow I will return to a writing schedule. Print by Briony. Di and I went to her friend Briony's opening in Putney. He...
