All new windows in the house.
Well this was certainly an interesting day. It started out with me and the guy who put in my windows declaring how nice it was to share life over the last few days. We both appreciated each other. I think we shared a view on how to treat life and our fellow passengers. He was so sweet. When I left for the Y he was finishing up in my room so I got him to get in the window.
Then I went to the Y, went to therapy, went to the Coop and then 2 appointments at the cardiologists. Home, a short nap and a snack and then to LAVA to Writers Read where I proved that my cognition is being effected by the stress of my medical journey. I am attached to a monitor. Half way through the reading I pulled it out of its electrodes and couldn't place it back. I just hoped the people monitoring didn't think I died. OMG.
The best part of all that was watching the monitor of the heart ultrasound. Now first, my heart is smaller than I believed it was, and I'm not sure it looks that much different than my uterus, All that beating and moving is happening constantly throughout the whole system. There was no fetus in my heart though. Good thing, and it certainly was beating, which again was a good thing. And my blood pressure throughout it all was easy. I wonder if AFib is caused by being raised by musicians who try to teach you to beat 2 / 4 with one hand while beating 3/ 4 with the other. It means from very early on you are trying to confuse the natural rhythm of your heart.
Writers Read was kind of special tonight, it had 3 very different readers, but I think they held together. Both women read poetry and Patrick read a scene from his play which he is very interested in getting performed by a new group. I actually think it would be an interesting play for the GCC theater department to try out.
I thank Jane Johnson, Patrick Keppel, and Susan Middleton for reading tonight. And for all who showed and came and listened.
