Day after the storm when Nantucket took the award for highest wind and Newport for most snow.  We were on the periphery and it made a mess, but it's quite beautiful

There is a solve your own mystery in my driveway today.  Prints begin and end in odd places and some go up the side of the garage and across the roof and humans made some tracks, but again in odd formations.   When you can't shovel your life just begins to build around the mystery.

Got a call from Patrick on Nantucket, the deer was ok this morning, a little shellshocked from the storm, but he ate some grain and apples and had fresh water.  Going through the blizzard alone with an injured leg was probably pretty scary.  He had created a hiding space in bushes and did eat.

So I got out of my messy driveway ok and I drove to Sunderland for lunch on this extraordinarily beautiful day.  Spring is less than a month away and its beginning to show a little even under all of that white stuff.

Had a nice lunch with David.  Came home and slept the rest of the afternoon until Clara came over.  I guess that woke me up, I'm not sure.  But I was really glad I hadn't canceled because it did me some good to cook dinner together and

to bring her on a sunset ride to the rookery in my car.  It was my first let's go watch the sunset with someone in the CRV.  It's a wonderful sunset watching car.   We turned off the stove and jumped in the car and went and watched up on the hill.  No big birds, but an awful lot of beauty.
Came back and heated up dinner.  I made a good bean and sausage soup and Clara sautéed carrots.  I had not desert, but that's ok.

Maybe I can get out of my own way tomorrow.   Maybe I can get some concrete answers to some life necessities.  Maybe I'll hear back from a doctor or someone.
