June 10, 2026 Happy Birthday, Thane. Hope it was a great day. Audrey read tonight at Writers Read. Again, 3 very different writers writing about very different things. Very interesting evening. So glad they all read. Searched for a rainbow before going to LAVA. I found some sundogs, but they didn't get picked up by the lens. Very interesting cloud formations. I spent more time looking at clouds than birds. This buck slowly walked the back edge of the pond. There were some barn swallows zooming around and kingfishers, red winged black bird and my yellow throated warbler, but basically the rookery was quiet. Today I had a treatment by Wendy focusing in on my nervous system. This was my 2nd one. After a couple more I'll write about them. At the moment I'm just aware of how much my body twitched today. I took a nap but then I went up to the rookery and did a little meditating trying to kee...

June 9, 2026 I always feel my Mom's spirit in Edite's garden partly because her Baucus is there to greet us. But I have the herons in my yard. The herons and Baucus stood near each other for 20 or so years. But Mom is present in this garden. I've woken every morning this week wanting to call her. This morning I got up a little early and drove to Edite. She made me a cheese and asparagus omelet. Nothing could be better and we got some catch up time in the garden. Then I got some time on Jo's porch, and lunch at the new restaurant on Miles St. Talking and food dominated my morning. I'm telling you, next to medical appointments, that's what I've had. Today had the extra ingredients of beautiful weather and friends' gardens in bloom. Not a lot to share today besides this color. The otter and the kingfishers were playing in front of me. 6 at the rookery was 84 degrees, fairly dry, blue and q...

June 8, 2026 Happy Birthday, Ian. Happy Birthday, Emily. Happy Birthday, Kelley. What a beautiful day for a birthday. We took Marshall for a water tour of Franklin County, well, a limited water tour. He definitely is not impressed with my birding anecdotes, but he did like the water views. It really was a stunning day. 85 and sunny and perfect for a ride in the hills. I also know now why Mom took her naps at noon. She avoided the heat in the bedroom and the high sun outdoors. Back to the Y, how awfully marvelous, how extremely terrific, the bestest in everyway. Marshall and Clara took me out to a real dinner. We had a very nice time and I always like feeling grown up. I feel it so rarely. It really was special. And desert three ways. I think restaurants taught me how to get along with everyone and to bring everyone together. It's amazing how many restaurant memories come to me and remi...

June 7, 2026 1st Sunday, first time I've read in several months. It was a good reading today. Linda was one of the featured readers. There is a small collection of authors whose books I want, this is one. There are two new shows in the gallery this month. This installation is a new one by JuPong. I'll try to actually photograph it the next time I'm in the center, but if you are around, stop by and see it. We had 23 people read today out of 27 people there. It was good to see people. There were a couple of new people today who read whose stuff I appreciated. I couldn't stay to the end so I couldn't tell people I appreciated it, but it felt good to be surrounded by the community. After words I went and bought a Wendy's chicken sandwich meal which I haven't done in 5 years. I loved eating it and then hated having eaten it. I'm so on the precipous of addiction at the moment. I'm so amazed at how captured I ...

June 6, 2026 Happy Birthday, Kevin. I cannot believe how few photos I have taken of you in the past 5 years. So I have to use this one again. Hope your day was fun. Thanks for being around. You are contained You are concerned with something other than the opaque quality of the surface of the moon, Whatever it is, it’s not for you to discuss with me. You are taken up with new roles new have to’s and the ones that have been reserved for me are now pushed aside. You have filled that space with other hers, other wants and I now watch the moon describe the color wonder where it will rise with me.

June 5, 2026 On The Boards at LAVA started this weekend. Went and saw two plays tonight including Phoenix, by Jan Maher. Acting was really well done. Am excited to see this play progress. Day was complicated for me. I don't think it needed to be, but it just got sort of twisted in my head. I had a pelvis ultrasound because it made sense to me that this fibroid was causing some problems. The tech told me it had been there since 2011 so it wouldn't have all of a sudden been the culprit. No one ever told me about it before. I don't even remember there being images taken of my pelvis in 2011. Confuses me. Results won't be in until Tuesday or so. And on Thursday I am having some procedure done in Springfield in regards to the kidney. I'm tired of it all I pulled myself together and went to LAVA to see 2 1 act plays. I really enjoyed watching them. Physically it's too hard, but for the ...
