I always feel my Mom's spirit in Edite's garden partly because her Baucus is there to greet us.  But I have the herons in my yard.  The herons and Baucus stood near each other for 20 or so years.  But Mom is present in this garden.  I've woken every morning this week wanting to call her.  This morning I got up a little early and drove to Edite.  She made me a cheese and asparagus omelet.  Nothing could be better and we got some catch up time in the garden.

Then I got some time on Jo's porch, and lunch at the new restaurant on Miles St.   Talking and food dominated my morning.  I'm telling you, next to medical appointments, that's what I've had.  Today had the extra ingredients of beautiful weather and friends' gardens in bloom.

Not a lot to share today besides this color.   The otter and the kingfishers were playing in front of me.  6 at the rookery was 84 degrees, fairly dry, blue and quite wonderful.

I have had a very difficult time standing this week, but I got out of the car to get a little closer to the otter.  He moved away when  I did it so it was not a photography success.  I did get to watch him for awhile though.
