The boys are in their barn and their pasture is full of snow.

The level of complication that getting this new car has created has mystified me.  I won't bore you with details, just know that we got held up for another 10 days to 2 weeks.   And last night I got word that I needed to go visit my friend Tom, now.  So I asked EJ if I could borrow his sexy new car and he said, yes.  It's really sporty, its just a corolla, but its nice, I like it, not as much as I like him, but I do like it.

I drove from Northfield to Turners the back way and the amount of animal trails visible was nuts.  Its so snowy, white and clear out there.  It's also been outrageously cold so I'm kind of in awe of the deer tracks.  They make real paths through fields.

And  at Migratory Way the canal was almost entirely snow with bird paths.

I saw swans, and black ducks, but nothing else out there in that tundra.

As I started to head up the hill towards the rookery and around the mountain, the sun started to set.  It was not red tonight, it went from cantaloupe to watermelon, or raspberry.  I don't know if all that white subdues the colors, but the pinks were soft.

It's super cold again tonight.  My little house holds the heat better than you'd think. I'm very glad I have it.  I have to start the new work on it next week.  It'll be so nice if I'm back to a normal life next week.  I actually don't think the  car will be registered before Wed., but as soon as it is, I think I will feel more stable.

So tonight you mainly get photos.  They make me  feel much more centered, and tonight I will try and finish some writings that I have started this month so that I'll have something to read at open mic on Sunday.  I'm going to read 2 of Jay's poems, also.

This was Frisky's barn, now its part of a large chicken production.

It looks like we'll have clouds on the 1st and not be able to see the full moon again, but I will still have EJ's car, so I hope maybe I'll get a glimpse.
